Abstract

Mitha Clarita (2022), The Effectiveness Of English Subtitle During Watching English Movie To Improve The Students’ Listening Skills At X Grade In SMA Global Madani Bandar Lampung The aim of this study was to determine whether there was effective of using English subtitle during watching English movie to improve students listening skills at X grade students of SMA Global Madani. In this research, the researcher use quantitative research. The research methodology is a true experimental design with treatment that xii is held 5 meetings. This design uses a pretest to determine students’ initial abilities before treatment. The study population was Tenth Grade of Global Madani High School. The samples taken were two classes, science one and science three. In collecting data, the researcher used the instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. The instrument is used for pre-test and post-test. After giving a post-test, the researcher then analyzes the data. From the analysis of the data, the researcher indicated p-value 0.05 (t= 2.274, p= .029 which means that there are significantly different it means that the means of experimental and control group are significantly different. it shows that there is significance different of students improvements score of listening skills between the experimental class and control class.
