Abstract

The conditions in transportation sector include the condition of public vechiles and passenger. Public vechiles are increasingly influenced and eroded by the age development. People are getting more individualized to satifsy their transportation needs. The objective of this research was to find out the performance of Damri bus for Metro to semarang Baru destination and perception of users to this public transportation This research conducted survey to bus performance and respondents satisfactions to the transportation service. Survey was conducted in three day in Sunday 12 August, Monday 13 August, and Wednesday 15 August 2018 at 06.00 am to 18.00 pm. The survey results 502 respondents showed that 495 respondents (98,606%) felt safe in their trips while 7 respondents (1,394%) did not answer and this was because the interlude for stopping to take passenger or to to discharge or to discharge passenger almost did not occur unless in the Damri Pool in the Way Jepara Market for the desnation from Semarang Baru to Metro. 336 respondents (66,932%) said that bus air conditioner made them comportable, 138 respondents (27,490%), said that the reclining seat made them comportable, and the 28 respondents (5,578%) said that the musicin the bus made them comfortable. Damri Bus for destinations Metro to Semarang Baru was operated in trip 2 daily with 204 passengers per trip, each passenger went trough average of 72,105 km distance. The Load Factor value of the busfor round trip destination Metro to Semarang Baru was 83,989%. Data from Way Jepara market became an important location for passenger number, because the survey result showed that in Way Jepara Market tke number of getting and getting off passenger underwent very significant changes. The theoretical cycle for Damri bus was 396 minutes and the effective vechile speed was 35 km/hour.
