Abstract

Dharmawan (2016) points out that learning a proper pronunciation is very important to English students. Pronunciation is one of English skill that should be mastered. To support the learning process, I used English Pronunciation for Beginner App to Improve students’ pronunciation ability at the first semester students of English Department of UniversitasBandar Lampung. The researcher used qualitative study. The study was conducted in two meetings. The result was, In the first observation, the students pronounced some words unwell before learning using the app. The highest percentage of right pronunciation was about 39.2% and the highest percentage of wrong pronunciation was 100%. After learning using the app in the second observation, the students improved their pronunciation mastery, nearly 97.5% was the highest percentage of right pronunciation and 14.7% was the highest percentage of wrong pronunciation. In conclusion, it is clear that there is an improvement on students’ cognitive after learning using the app.
