Putri (2019), Student’s Perceptions in Using Narrow Reading and Narrow Listening in Speaking Class at third Semester of English Department Universitas Bandar Lampung. The objective of this research is to find out the student’s perceptions in using narrow reading and narrow listening in speaking class at third semester of English Department Universitas Bandar Lampung. I tried to find out their perceptions regarding the teaching method that I used in speaking class, whether those methods are good or not, whether they could help them in improving their speaking ability or not. In this research, I use a case study research design which is qualitative approach. This kind of method is used to explore the case of narrow reading and narrow listening that is used in speaking class in detail and also to know people’s point of view of certain phenomena. It is also used to obtain the truthful, precise, and well-organized explanation in experiencing narrow reading and narrow listening in the speaking class. The research has been done at speaking class III of English Department Universitas Bandar Lampung consisted of fourty students. To gather the data, I use triangulation method which conducted the data by using three instruments, observation, questionnaire, and interview. The data has been iv analyzed by combining the result from those three instruments in several paragraphs. The result of this research show that the students’ were very interested in learning and they gave a positive attitude and good response when those methods were implemented in their classes. From the questionnaire and the interview result, it showes that mostly they said that those methods can help them to speak as well as to understand what they should say when they should tell their topic in front of the class. The combination from those three instruments is that narrow reading and narrow listening are able to facilitate them in the speaking class. They mostly agree that those methods could help their interest more in learning. Furthernore, they can to understand their own topic easily. It also helps them in improving their speaking skills and achieving their goals in learning speaking.
