Ishini Mendis, 2019. The Analysis of the Gender roles of the Novel The Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen through feminist reading. This research is conducted in order to analyze the gender roles of the novel The Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen through the feminist point of view. The required data was analyzed by reading the novel and related journals and articles in order to gather information to provide a strong opinion. This research includes several theories such as the theory of gender roles, the theory of gender development, the theory of feminism and the theory of literary criticism. This research was conducted by criticizing the literal opinions and researches conducted by experts in the literature field. The analysis of the research showed that there are gender differences throughout the novel. And as the writer is considered as a feminist writer we can clearly conclude that she has mainly focused her writing on feminism. And she has clearly shown us clear differences between the two genders.
