Abstract

Language learning technique plays an important technique in achieving the success of learning process. Reading aloud can be a good technique. The objectives of this research are to find out how the reading aloud technique is used and to find out how the development of the student’s pronunciation is after being taught by using reading aloud technique at Pingu’s English School Bandar Lampung. The participants are 3 (three) students at level two of Pingu’s English School Bandar Lampung in academic year 2014 – 2015, i.e. Br (5;04); Ky (4;08); Dn (6;05). In getting the data, the researcher observed the teacher and recored the teaching learning process. The teaching learning process has four steps, i.e. introduction, expansion, consolidation and review and assessment. The researcher found out that the students’ pronunciation developed when they were taught with reading aloud technique. The development can be seen in each activity of teaching learning process, i.e. introduction, expansion, consolidation, and review and assessment.
