Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze how each types of humor build learning interaction in practicing speaking at first grade of science two Senior High School Yadika Bandar Lampung. This research used case study method, the research was done at first grade of science two Senior High School Yadika Bandar Lampung that consisted of 33 students. Data gathering was done by doing observation and questionnaire. The data was analyzed by combining the result from the uestionnaire and observation. The results of my research showed, that the use of humor in practicing speaking can improve the students’ speaking ability such as learning interactions in the classroom between student and other student also students with the teacher. The combination of those two instruments is that humor is able to facilitate them in practicing speaking and reduce the tighen situation and create relaxed situation in the classroom. They mostly agreed that this method could make them more interested and enthusiastic in the classroom and it could help them to improve their English skills both speaking, listening,and reading.
