Beferina(2021),CodeSwitchingUsedByComicsInIndonesianStandup ComedySeason6(SUCI6). Individualswhoarefitforcommunicatinginandproducingtwolanguages wellareusuallycalledas"bilingual".Theyusuallychangealanguagetoeach otherintheircorrespondence,whichisatermascodeswitching.Thisstudy examinationcentersaroundinvestigatingcodeswitchingthatcomicsutilized inatelevisionshowconductedbyKOMPASTVknownas“StandUpComedy Indonesia season 6 (SUCI6)”.With the hypothesisofcode switching proposedbyRomaineascitedinSusanto(2008)andHoffman(1992),this studywillcomeoutbysomepointsofexamination,theyare:1).Describe andbreaksdowncodeswitchingusedandfindingtheverypredominantof themoccurred,and2).Describewhatreliesbehindtheuseofcodeswitching oftheminSUCI6program. Itsthesisutilizesqualitativemethodology.Theinformationisgatheredfrom theexpressionsofcomicsinSUCI6whicharebrokedownbyutilizing RomaineinSusanto(2008)hypothesisofcodeswitching.Theoutcomeof thisinvestigationindicatesthattherearethreekindsofcodeswitchinghave beenusedbycomicsinSUCI6KOMPASTVshow.Theyare:intra-sentential switching,inter-sententialswitching,andthelastistagswitching.More i iv clearly,thereare76,47% ofintra-sententialswitching,8,82% ofinter- sententialswitching,andfortagswitching,thereare14,7%.Italsofoundout thatthereare5reasonswhichreliescomicstocodeswitchtheirlanguages. They are,82,3%fordiscussinga particularchosen topic,2,94%toexcerpt someoneelse,5,88%fortheinterjection(insertingthefillersofsentenceor the connectorofsentences),also 2,94% ofrecurrence thatused for clarification,andthen5,88%forclarifyingintentionofthespeechcontent whichisaimedattheinterlocutor.Sincethisresearchonlyexaminedthe typesandreasonsreliesofcodeswitchingused,itissuggestedforother researcherstoanalyzecodeswitchingwithdifferenttheoryandobjectssuch asmovieorsongasthedatasourceoftheirinvestigation.
