Abstract

Widiaputri., C.L. (2020) Exploring The Use of Reading Storybook on Children’s Vocabulary Mastery On B Grade Students at TK Sejahtera I Bandar Lampung: The Use of Reading Storybook. Bandar Lampung. Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Universitas Bandar Lampung. This research is based on the theory of researchers on the effects of reading stories towards children. Young children have an extraordinary ability to record what they have heard and seen. The purpose is to describe the use of English storybook in teaching vocabulary of B Grade Students in TK Sejahtera I Bandar Lampung. During the learning process, the researcher read storybook for the students. The researcher observed the learning process while doing reading activities. The aims of this research are to see the use of English storybook, to describe how storybook is being read in the learning process. The result showed that the use of reading storybook to children can be the alternative to teach English for children in languages learning. Reading storybook to children with Children English Storybook also increases children’s vocabularies because during the reading activity they got some new vocabularies related to the story. The result showed that the children have interest in learning languages from the storybook. During the reading process, the researcher gives some explanation related to vocabularies on the storybook by reading pointing to the picture, produce clear intonations and gestures.
