English has become the global language used by many people around the world to connect, share their intention and interact with one another, and in order to know about the world nowadays civilization, people need to master or at least understand English. One of the important skills that have to master is writing skill; writing is one of the important skills that students should master because it is a communicative act as well as a way of sharing information, thoughts, or ideas to the readers. In fact, writing is a productive skill that represents students who have understood English. The main objective of teaching English writing in Indonesia is to allow students to use English in their written skills. Without writing, it would be difficult to share the language. Writing is, besides speaking, a communication device. The aim of this study is to know how is the students writing process through 9Gag application using brainstorming theory. This study will be conducted twelve grade students of SMAN 11 Bandar Lampung. This is the type of descriptive study, in which the aim of the study is to investigate and to gather answers to the two main questions of this research. More specifically, this study will use qualitative research. Based on the two instruments used by the writer that done the research, the writer concludes that the use of 9gag in students writing, used as the medium to express students writing skills in several categories in accordance with the main theory, shows that this application is quite good to use. In addition, the application provide a media to share and increase the willingness of the student to use their writing ability in a fun way.
