English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Faculty. Universitas Bandar Lampung. This study was conducted to know the use of Reciprocal Teaching Technique in improving English reading comprehension of visually impaired students at SLB-A Bina Insani. There were two problems: (1) To explain the process of reciprocal teaching technique in improving reading comprehension of visually impaired students at SLB-A Bina Insani. (2) To find out the effect of reciprocal teaching technique in improving reading comprehension of visually impaired students at SLB-A Bina Insani. It is difficult for the visually impaired student to learn English, especially for learning reading comprehension. In this research, the teacher teaches by using Reciprocal Teaching Technique. The subjects of this study were 4 students of the first years students of SLB-A Bina Insani, Bandar Lampung. It was assumed that teacher strategies and reading comprehension in English was very important in learning English. The data were collected through 3 stages: observation, interview and test. The result showed that, learning by using Reciprocal Teaching Technique can improve the student’ reading comprehension.
