Abstract

This objective of this research is to know the learning process and students’ achievement by applying peer-correction activities through Google Docs on students’ writing descriptive text at 10th Grade of Ilmu Budaya (IBU) SMA N 1 Sumberjo. This research is a qualitative research. The research was done at 10th Grade of Ilmu Budaya (IBU) SMA N 1 Sumberjo that consisted of thirty four students. Data gathering was done by observation, questionnaire and interview to three students. The data was analyzed by combining the result from the observation, questionnaire and interview. The results of the research showed that the students are extremely interested in peer-correction activities through Google Docs, and they felt that utilizing Google Docs was a powerful method to encourage their learning process. Their learning circumstance is viewed as progressively favorable when they did discussing, giving comment, and revising. They did those exercises without talking one another, so it didn't create any noise. They also considered that learning process like this merit continuing. This activity is not only suitable for being used in the learning process of writing, but the students also agree that this activity can increase their achievement in terms of confidence in developing idea, giving comment and suggestion.
