This study is to investigate speaking anxiety of students at TRI SUKSES Senior High School Natar. Specifically, it sought to identify the factors causing student’s anxiety in speaking English and also to find out the dominant factors for student’s anxiety at TRI SUKSES of Senior High school. This study involved 60 students of students at TRI SUKSES Senior High School. The data were collected by using two instruments i.e. a questionnaire: The Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (Horwitz, Horwitz, & Cope, 1986) and interview. The method used in this study was qualitative method. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. The result of the data analysis showed in three factors, they are communication apprehension, fear of negative evaluation and test anxiety. Thus, the dominant factor for student’s anxiety in speaking English was test anxiety.
